Merger Announcement

Dear customer,

iDeliver Freight Limited is delighted to announce that we have entered into a definitive merger agreement with 5 Star Express Couriers Limited, a provider of urgent courier services to Christchurch.

This merger will absorb 5 Star Express Couriers into iDeliver Freight Limited’s existing business, and both Stephen Carr & Paul Love (Directors) are excited to welcome Amanda, 5 Star Express Couriers and 5 Stars customers to the iDeliver family.

iDeliver and 5 Star Express Couriers have worked together, albeit for a short period of time, to better the service offered to customers of both companies. During this time both companies realised that forming a united business would be in the best interests of all customers and staff especially when the ethos of both companies aligned so closely.

As of Wednesday 1st May, you will see Amanda in a larger iDeliver van. Amanda’s landline will remain (03) 366 7827, however, she will have a new mobile number 027 477 6686 and will continue to provide the same quality services with a smile, just under the iDeliver branding.

iDeliver will look to retire the 5 Star Couriers job management system, OnTime360, in the coming months as we are in the process of rolling out our own job management platform, using a New Zealand based partner. In the interim, you are welcome to book jobs via www.ideliver.co.nz or phone your jobs in direct to Amanda.

We will also migrate all pricing and billing details over to the iDeliver platform. This will involve all invoices being supplied from iDeliver Freight Limited for all jobs from 1st May onwards. In order to ensure we have the most up to date and accurate billing information, and ensure we are both on the same understanding around terms and conditions, we kindly ask you to complete and return to us the attached credit application, which includes our standard terms and conditions, and outlines details around insurance for goods whilst in transit.

iDeliver is currently in the process of becoming Living Wage Certified, which means we ensure every employee and contractor is paid no less than the current Living Wage rate. We feel this is important to communicate with you, especially in light of the recent media coverage around courier drivers earning well below minimum wage. All of our full-time drivers are waged employees, and our relief drivers are contractors. If you are new to iDeliver as part of the merger, we would like to say welcome and give you a quick run-down of what services we offer, and what areas we cover over and above what 5 Star offered you. iDeliver currently offers two runs from Waipara to Christchurch return, and two runs Rangiora to Christchurch via Kaiapoi return each day. Attached is our current North Canterbury timetables if any of these services could be useful to your business. iDeliver currently also holds a contract with CourierPost to deliver all post and CourierPost freight back into the Christchurch Operations Centre before 6 pm which allows for evening deliveries back out as far as Waipara.

All of our staff hold Dangerous Goods endorsements on their Licenses so we are all set to carry dangerous goods should you require. All our vehicles are capable of carrying up to two pallets, one side loaded, and the other loaded in the rear provided your forklift mast assembly will clear under the boot lid, which have been raised with extra height struts.

Over the next few weeks, Paul, our owner-driver, will be riding along with Amanda to introduce himself to you and your staff, and to answer any queries you may have.
